In 2011 Confiance was lifted out and spent 2 weeks on the dock being inspected and painted. A full thickness test was performed, propeller and shaft inspection together with rudder alignment check. Anodes cleaned and/or replaced, two coats of hull black and she was back in the water with a clean bill of health.
Late afternoon sun glinting on the new paint.
March 2019 Survey
Confiance is booked on the slip at Robertsons yard Woodbridge for the end of March 2019.
All went according to plan. She was blasted off and a hull inspection and hammer test was done showing no major faults. She was then given 3 coats of marine tar varnish below the waterline and 3 coats of marine primer and gloss above the waterline.
All anodes where replaced and the damaged propeller (sustained during transit up the Deben) was replaced with a new bronze (upgraded) one.
Re-slipped and is now resting happily on her mooring on the Deben river Woodbridge.
